You should, Monster really is excellent though it doesn't have as strong a fantasy/science fiction element as 20th century boys, it is however, scary for its realism. There are a few other popular series by the same author, "Pluto" an adult interpretation of Astro Boy, thats good as well, especially if you've read the original astro-boy which is a great classic. I think one ongoing series by the author is "Billy Bat" but I haven't read it yet... this conversation has reminded me so thanks for that. Hmm... wonder if i can read it online.
Personally i didn't like the live action series that much though it was high budget. The manga was far better plotted and paced than the film, especially the last film of the trilogy which was just really messy. The manga however is beautiful. Have you read monster by any chance? (or watched it) i think its by the same author. It also has a brilliant villain.
Ohhh friend! One of the best villains out there. You're epic for knowing the series (Just leaving a message because i was vaguely surprised and pleased upon seeing your avatar)
What's your avatar of/from?
Happy Happy Birthday frm the AL Staff to you!
Thank you for the birthday message ^.^ Tis great to be 18!
Hey! Thanks for the birthday message : ] Very much appreciated!
Long range would be a Sniper rifle, as long as I had plenty of ammo for it. If not I think a retractable long range weapon would work well, sort of like a harpoon launcher. Close range, I'd pull a Dead Rising Sun and trick out a wheelchair with saw blades, chainsaws and other sharp objects, to decimate zombies that got close.
Thanks for the welcome and recommendations matey, I hope to see you in the chatbox sometime too And btw, just wonderin , what would be your preferred long range and short range weapons against a horde of post-apocalyptic zombies? Mine would probably be a flame-thrower (LR) and a petrol chainsaw
