        Spoiler:
      King of Thorn
      Genres: Action, Mystery, Sci-fi, Thriller
      Duration: 1 hr. 26 min.

"Medusa," a deadly virus becomes a worldwide epidemic. In order
to escape from this deadly virus, a handful of people are chosen to be put
into a cold sleep, laying in a capsule hoping for the future cure. Kasumi,
a teenage girl is one of the 160 chosen for this procedure, and is guided to
a Cold Sleep Capsule Center (CSCC) inside an ancient castle.
Understanding that it is hardly possible, Kasumi goes to sleep still anticipating
for a reunion with her twin sister Shizuku, who also is infected with the virus.
As Kasumi and the others awake, they notice that the CSCC is not as they
remembered. Just like the story of "Sleeping Beauty," the castle is covered
with thorn, and the awaken are attacked by unknown creatures and monsters!
How long were they asleep? Where did the monsters come from?
What has happened to the world?

Abandoned in the midst of an enigma, the escapade of the seven survivors begins...
      Grave of Fireflies
      Genres: Drama, Historical
      Duration: 1 hr. 57 min.

In the aftermath of a World War II bombing, two orphaned children
struggle to survive in the Japanese countryside. To Seita and his
four-year-old sister, the helplessness and indifference of their
countrymen is even more painful than the enemy raids. Through
desperation, hunger and grief, these children's lives are as
heartbreakingly fragile as their spirit and love is inspiring.

      Time of Eve
      Genres: Sci-Fi, Slice of Life
      Duration: 18 min. per episode

The future, probably Japan. Robots have long been put into
practical use, and androids have just come into use.

Influenced by the Robot Ethics Committee, it's become common
sense for people to treat androids like household appliances.
Their appearance—indistinguishable from humans except for
the ring over each android's head—has led some people to
empathize unnecessarily with androids. Known as "android-holics,"
such people have become a social problem.

Rikuo, a high school student, has been taught from childhood
that androids are not to be viewed as humans, and has always
used them as convenient tools. One day Rikuo discovers some strange
data in the behavior records of his family's household android, Sammy.

Rikuo and his friend Masaki trace Sammy's movements, only to discover
a mysterious cafι that features a house rule that
"humans and robots are to be treated the same"...

      Fooly Cooly
Genres: Action, Comedy, Dementia,Mecha, Parody, Sci-Fi
      Duration: 25 min. per episode

Naota is a normal Japanese 6th grade boy (although a little cynical),
but when his older brother leaves for America to play baseball, his
brother leaves his homeless 17-year-old girlfriend Mamimi behind.
Mamimi is sending mixed signals and advances to Naota, and he doesn't
know what to do about her. But to make matters worse, Naota's
world is totally turned upside down when he is run over by a woman on
a Vespa. During their first encounter, she hits him over the head with
her bass guitar, which then causes a horn to grow out of his forehead.
She calls herself "Haruko" and her presence changes Naota's
      life to even further insanity.

      Paprika
Genres: Mystery, Fantasy, Horror,Sci-Fi, Psychological, Thriller
      Duration: 1 hr. 30 min.

In the near future, a revolutionary new psychotherapy treatment
called PT has been invented. Through a device called the "DC Mini"
it is able to act as a "dream detective" to enter into people's dreams
and explore their unconscious thoughts. Before the government
can pass a bill authorizing the use of such advanced psychiatric
technology, one of the prototypes is stolen, sending the research
facility into an uproar. In the wrong hands, the potential misuse of
the device could be devastating, allowing the user to completely
annihilate a dreamer's personality while they are asleep. Renowned
scientist, Dr. Atsuko Chiba, enters the dream world under her exotic
alter-ego, code name "PAPRIKA," in an attempt to discover who is
behind the plot to undermine the new invention.

      Sound of the Sky

Genres: Music, Sci-Fi, Slice of Life, Military
      Duration: 24 min. per episode

In a lonely corner of the world, on the edge of No Man's Land,
sits Clocktower Fortress. It's home to the 1121st Platoon of
the Helvetian Army, and their newest member is a 15-year-old
volunteer named Kanata Sorami, who enlisted to learn how to play
the bugle. When she was a child, Kanata was saved by a beautiful
soldier and found inspiration in the clear, golden sound of her trumpet.
From that day forward, Kanata decided music would be her life.

As the other platoon members train her how to be a bugler and a
soldier, Kanata's enduring optimism will inspire them to look for
happiness and beauty, even in a world haunted by war.

Thanks for the heads up, I can attend most of those dates.
"Every position must be held to the last man: there must be no retirement. With our backs to the wall and believing in the justice of our cause, each one of us must fight on to the end."

Earl Douglas Haig, Order to the British Army, 12 April 1918

So death, the most terrifying of ills, is nothing to us, since so long as we exist, death is not with us; but when death comes, then we do not exist. It does not then concern either the living or the dead, since the former it is not, and the latter are no more.

      A little of both.

I'll be there for Totoro, The Time of Eve, and Paprika. I can't make the other Ghibli ones (sad face, Howl's Moving Castle is like my 2nd favourite Ghibli), I'm not taken by the premise of Sound of the Sky, and I really don't like FLCL
