escort missions are the worst, that's all i want to say
Agreed I'm not a big fan of them. In final Fantasy you have ones you have to stop so often tell the character to keep going while killing things and making sure they stay alive which isn't always easy
Escort missions God how I hate those. I wonder why no single developer from games I have played so far could make them at LEAST acceptable. Which brings me to the question: What (other than removing them completely) would make escort quest bearable for you? For me, it's the simple fact that NPCs don't keep up with your pace when they follow you, or run through the next group of mobs they find, ultimately resulting in their death.
"Remember...the first rule when making a bomb is to always make two."
I just wan't the idiots to not run into every enemy they see. Gratz on getting Mod Talmit
Thanks! Oh I absolutely forgot the newest trend: I've seen NPCs, that are not only not capable of keeping up, but even return to where they started if you leave them too far behind. I mean how frustrating is that?
I hate that especially if your in battle and one enemy sneaks off after the one your leading while your still fighting. Just need an all kill spell then that's good but games aren't like that.

Damn you're lucky. That's basically what I wanted to become when I was a child. I'm rather curious as to how you got into that. Mind elaborating a bit?
The main European QA office is based in Liverpool my home city. One of my friends was working for them and told me about jobs going before the PS3 launched . I sent in a CV and cover letter to - https://www.playstationjobs.co.uk/ the rest is history so to speak
Oh wow that's one of my dream jobs to do your extremely lucky

I think these kinda missions drive most people crazy xD If I were to change them somehow, I'd probably do so by making the person or thing I'm escorting be able to fight back to a decent standard and to only engage when I engage. Oh and yes, being able to travel at the same pace would help! The other kinda missions I hate are the ones where you have to travel great lengths for hardly a reason. I.e. Final Fantasy XIV when you have to visit someone at one side of a large area, then head back to town, then back to the large area, then back to town and so on, sometimes repeating five or six times, only to find you're rewarded with a potion ~grrr~ It eventually becomes easier in FF when you gain the ability to teleport, but that's not a luxury in every game ^^
