The Harry Potter Series will be celebrating it's 20th anniversary so to celebrate I've created an event that we can all celebrate the wonderful series. This was planned to be a summer event but after discussion with staff decided to make the event now. Participants will be split into four groups which will be the houses. You can earn and lose points for your house depending on your actions in the threads. In the threads you can do whatever you like in them: Spam, roleplay and share and create art. After the end of each term, the house with the most points is awarded a house cup. This event will continue until July 31st - the same day as Harry Potter's birthday.
Ways to earn points for your house
Photos/Roleplay Post: 20 points each
Poetry/GFX: 30 points each
Non-Fiction/Cosplay/Taking part in AL events: 50 Points each
Artwork/Stories/Winning an AL forum event: 100 points each
One of the four secret passwords: 150 Points
Special Achievements: 200 each
Anime Related work gives a bonus 10 points for each piece.
Harry Potter related work gives a bonus 10 points for each piece.
The four special achievements are
50 Images (Includes Graphics, Art, Photography esp. Cosplay)
50 Written Pieces (Includes poetry and stories)
50 Pages
Finding All Four Secret Passwords (The passwords will always be Harry Potter related and they change in each round)
The work you share doesn't have to be Harry Potter related or recent. As long as it's YOUR work it will qualify for the points and achievements. Recent work is preferred. And let me know if you're taking part in other AL forum events and if you win them too, that's a great way to boost points.
Ways to lose points
Any Rule breaking: -25 Points
Any forum warnings issued: -50 Points
Getting Banned: -100 Points
Pissing off a house head: anything between -50 and -250 points.
House heads can also add or take away points from their own or other houses at their discretion. Heads of each house are responsible for ensuring that all members of their house play sensibly and are permitted to give points to houses that create excellent work and take away from those that they feel are not playing nicely.
