This thread will be your one stop shop for information regarding...you guessed it! Entertainment Zone! Here you'll find our rules and helpful information about this awesome section. But first, let me introduce you to our mods and VIPs!

ALL AL BOARD-WIDE RULES APPLY

If you are new and have not read the AL Board-wide rules, you can find a link to the rules HERE. Please let any moderator (purple), Head moderator (green) or Admin (red) know if you have any questions about these rules!

NO LINKING TO TORRENT OR STREAMING SITES

We understand many people might resort to torrenting their movies, music or TV Shows, but we do not want any of those links to be posted on these forums and anyone who does, will receive a unofficial warning (for first offense) and the link will be removed from their post. We, however, do NOT mind anyone linking to Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, Amazon Prime, etc. as they are legal ways to watching and enjoying music, movie and shows.

USE THE APPROPIATE SPOILER TAGS

Since we deal with TV Shows and Movies, spoilers are a real concern! If you are discussing a recent episode or movie and want to talk about certain events that took place, please use the appropriate tags! There are two options for you: the spoiler tags ([ spoiler][/spoiler] - remove the space in the first tag) or the hide tags ([ hide][/hide] - remove the space in the first hide tag). As a rule of thumb: when in doubt, use a spoiler tag.

DOUBLE & TRIPLE POSTING

Please refrain from posting two, three or more times in a row in a thread. The only exceptions to this are during certain EZ events, or when a thread has been dead for at least a week and you wish to revive it for more conversation (in the case of a discussion surrounding a show - when a new episode has aired or new details about an upcoming season have been revealed).

DEAD TOPICS

We consider a dead topic to be one that has reached the third page. Once it has reached this page, please let it be and re-create a topic to replace it.

OFF-TOPIC DISCUSSIONS

If you are enjoying a conversation with another user in a thread unrelated to what you are talking about, please bring it to our Chit-Chat topic, EZ Studio (found HERE), or in PMs. You can also use the EZ Studio to get to know each other.

LOCKED TOPICS

Normal topics will be locked after 30 pages and game topics will be locked after 50 pages. After the thread is locked, a new one can be started in its place.

SHARE WHAT YOU'RE LISTENING TO OR WATCHING

We have a thread for each. You can find a thread telling us what you're listening to HERE or tell us what movies, shows or youtube videos you're watching (current or recent) HERE.

CREATE YOUR OWN TOPICS

Don't see a thread open for what you want to discuss? Go on ahead and post one of your own! Our section covers a wide-variety of topics, including: Music, Sports, Board Games, Films, TV, Internet Entertainment (Youtube, Vimeo and the like), Performing Arts (Ballet, Opera, etc.) and Fashion! Make sure to include any videos or links that will help us to gain additional understanding of what you're posting about. Note: Video Game and Literature discussions (at least, those unrelated to films, shows, plays, etc.) should take place in their respective forums. You can discuss Video Games HERE and Literature HERE.

POST IN ANY CURRENT THREAD

PARTICIPATE IN OUR EVENTS

EZ Staff and Assistants are aiming to put out various events every month. These events will be stickied to the top of the forum and will be open for EVERYONE and ANYONE to participate! So please don't hesitate to take part.

EZ staff is dedicated to making Entertainment Zone the best section it can be. And there's no way that we could do that without our VIPs! Our VIPs are rewarded monthly for consistent activity and are integral members on our staff team. If you love Entertainment Zone as much as we do and are want to be part of our growing team, please message the head moderator to register your interest. Fantastic! We'd love your help spreading the love and talking with all of our members about our all-time favorites, the less-than-desirables and everything in between. We have a variety of options that will, hopefully, strike your fancy and help you find your place amongst our team!

TOPIC CREATION & COMMENTING EXTRAORDINAIRE!

Our section thrives on your opinions! We want to see what's on your mind, even if you need to create a new topic to do so. We want a variety of topics. If you're one of those people who enjoy writing reviews - do it!; if you're more inclined to scope out for opinions - do it!; if you enjoy the hurt/heal games - go for it!; as long as it's entertainment based (movies, music, TV Shows, books or even board games), we want to see what you've got! We also want to make sure we show our users some love, so if you see a new topic has been posted, support that topic by posting your thoughts or comments in it as well!

GAMING MASTERMINDS!

Not the gaming you're thinking of - that belongs in VG. We want those who can create a fun, well-rounded event! We have a few in circulation already, but we want to spice things up a bit and throw our users a curve-ball every now-and-then to show them what we're made of! If you have a few ideas buzzing in that brilliant brain of yours, we want to help put that into action! If your brilliance isn't focused on creating events, we would love to have you aboard to run the events. Some of our events require multiple hands on deck to help run them, so there are opportunities for you to help do just that!

MARVELOUS BOUNCERS!

Everyone who has ever been to a party knows there's that one guy or gal who just has to ruin the fun for others! In our case, we have spam bots and the occasional individuals who are just having a bad day. There will be times when the Staff might not be online (yet!) that day, so we need you to keep an eye out and try to calm down the situation (and bring it to our attention) so we can put these Negative Nancy's in the corner to cool down (or make them swim with the fishes.... for spam bots, promise). Help us keep the streets of EZ clean.

VIP RESPONSIBILITIES

✦ Participate in EZ staff discussions
✦ Try to create new topics
✦ Help maintain a friendly environment in EZ
✦ Report any rule breaking to EZ mods

VIP SALARY

Each VIP will receive 250 AL Points at the end of each month IF they go above and beyond and exceed their VIP responsibilities. This includes promoting the section, being involved in staff discussions, AND posting regularly for the entire month.
