      A good one to see!

If you get the chance to see Hamilton you should!

Avenue Q is still going in New York, if for any reason you're ever in New York I would suggest seeing it.
It was well worth the price.
Great live show. Even saw it twice in local community shows and they did a pretty good job of it too, which means either they are better than most community groups or the show just is good no matter what

      Re: Musicals

I love the comedy ones, like Avenue Q and Spamalot. Those are two that I could see over and over again. I'll usually give most a try, but I find when visiting the West End in London the comedy musicals usually are cheaper and in smaller venues as well which really helps them to engage better with me.

Last month I watched the stage version of Mel Brook's Young Frankenstein. So much smut and blue humour! But so fun! The kids in the row in front of me were loving the song about breasts!

I loved Spamalot, saw it when it was on tour. And i went to see Young Frankenstein at Christmas just because it had Ross Noble in it, but I ended up really enjoying it too! I thought the guy playing Dr Frankenstein was incredible. PS @MrMurphseeksLAM my favourite number...egg number 6!

      Re: Musicals

Another 3 points in your basket @Pixiedora and yes Hadley Fraser was almost the spitting image of Gene Wilder as Dr Frankenstein... or Frankensteen as he'd prefer. Nic Greenshields was great as the monster too. Had to confirm with those around me that he was actually wearing platforms, because he moved about so effortlessly that we almost thought he was actually that tall!

Shrek the musical was another that was rather good through it's use of innuendos. Though it was always going to struggle to top the films. The Producers, Little Shop of Horrors and Groundhog Day are the musicals I want to see next when they tour the UK.

Shrek was actually better than I expected but it is very kid orientated, much more so than young Frankenstein at least :p

Oh my gosh I so desperately want to see Groundhog Day!! I missed it when it first came out as I couldn't afford it at the time

I do enjoy a silly fun time. Recently saw a production of evil dead the musical and sat in the "splash zone"
      It was utterly ridiculous fun

I'd have to go with Fiddler on the Roof, followed closely by Sound of Music and Across the universe
