Looking at my MyAnimeList profile. The information on it is outdated, but even I am pretty impressed at the design of the profile. I remember spending quite a lot of time on it. Making the links clickable on the profile was probably the hardest part and only doable with Photoshop, which I no longer have. But looking at it now, I was thinking about whether if I should create another MAL profile design in the future. It's been five years since I did this current one I have. I do have access to GIMP, a free image manipulation software, so that might just be enough. But 1) between my scriptwriting class and my catching up with anime, I don't really have a lot of time on my hands right now, and 2) I don't really have an inspiration as to what theme my profile should have. A Spider-Man theme profile on a MAL website would be weird, and as for an anime profile, I just don't really have an anime I like enough as of now to make it a theme. And honestly, I only got lucky with my current MAL profile. The James Bond silhouette and the parchment paper texture were both found on the Internet, created by someone else. I got lucky enough to find those two. I don't think I would be as lucky when it comes to anime templates, especially when MAL profiles are probably not that trendy anymore for people to spend that much time creating profile templates. I mean, the Internet forum itself as a medium is becoming outdated with social media apps like and Instagram replacing it. Oh yeah, and I don't really spend much time browsing the MAL forums either. There are better anime forums than it (*cough cough*), so the whole point of creating a MAL profile might not have much point either. Maybe next time, when I have too much time to spare.
