"Settle down! Ain't nobody been shot - yet," Toothpick glared, eyeing the assembled artists. "Right dis was suppost ta be 'pick yer prompt' but now suddenly it's a 'what I did for my summer vacation' report. Ya can write it, or ya can do a collage, or somethin' else as long as it's about you!"

"And hey! Who stole a slice of da ice cream cake?! We was savin' dat fer later!"

we'll have several categories, but if someone gets something in their category they can't do, they should get maybe one/two do overs

Hi everyone!
I thought I'd just give an idea, it might not be great but hopefully it's not too bad!

But I used to take part in icontests where it was a weekly activity, and thought it might be a neat idea? We could change it to gfx/writing/art (or even split them into different categories and make it monthly so everyone has time to create their own products based on the current theme) instead of icons/avatars. Like @Expendable mentioned on the first page, Everyone would submit their entries anonymously to OP and everyone votes for atleast 1-3 people (not including their own entry, and depending on how many gets submitted). Top 3 would get banners specially made in icontests but we could make badges? or give out AL points? Or we can still make banners! There would be honorable mentions or admin's choices but not sure if we'd want to include them and just keep it as Top 3?

Basically it's a contest and daisy chain mashed into one sort of!

Maybe weekly staffs top 3?Banner made for each to display in the signature as a pride thing.

I am not sure how yet but I personally want to challenge not just those who do GFX but everyone.I haven't seen any video edits on here,
.Rarely any writing.

I got a couple of ideas that I am still fine tuning right now

In celebration of International Talk Like A Pirate Day, let's have a writing contest about pirates!

A thousand words or less, can be fantasy, contemporary, or science fiction - or whatever genre you can work it into. Hey, it's pirates. Just keep it family-friendly for the visitors.

This contest is open to all registered members of AnimeLeague.net and its affiliates.

Deadline: Midnight Sunday, Sept. 30th, 2018 at

Submission costs - NONE (except whatever you pay for Internet access)
Prizes - NONE (unless I can talk the boss into this)

Entries will be emailed to Expendable (hi! *waves*). Stories without names will be assigned one by the head pirate contest entry taker (me!). (You were warned!)

On Oct. 1st. a voting thread will be opened with the entries listed anonymously. You will have until midnight October 7, 2018 EDT (GMT -5) to vote.

Sorry I've been so quiet but I'm so happy you all have your thinking caps on!!! I love that idea nocchi... is the pirate theme that Expendable is posting somehting similar to what you were thinking for a monthly contest?

I can make a small banner for 1st and 2nd place or a Avatar and Signature for 1st place (if the set isn't too hard lol) as prizes

I remember years ago there was a thread that members can request a Signature/Avatar..Any way we can bring this back?

Gather up a few GFX artists that are willing to do requests. Members can choose a specific artist or have one chosen by random.

A request form will be needed for the GFX.

I can offer myself up as one of the GFX artists if this idea is ok. I definitely need more practice with my editing and this will give me an extra challenge.
