[DRAFT] CONTEST: Halloween

Contest Info:
There will be three different categories you can enter!
1) Art 2) GFX 3) Writing
All entries must be sent to Nocchi via PM, and will be added into the slots after the deadline.
This ensures there will be no popularity contest due to anonymous entries and everyone has a fair chance!
After the deadline, I will add all the entries into the reserved posts below and they will be listed as numbers.





Rules for Entries:
• You may submit only one entry per category.
• However you can enter as little or as many categories as you'd like.
• Must be Halloween themed of course!
• Any entry submitted MUST be your own work!
• Please PM your entries to Nocchi.
• You are welcome to change your entries as much as you'd like.
• Do NOT upload your entries publicly anywhere on AL. Please wait until after the contest has ended.
• Do NOT let anyone know what your entry looks like in any way until after the contest. We want to keep it fair!
• Art: If possible, please scan in your entries to allow us to see it in a better quality, but phone cameras are fine!
• GFX: Just a signature will do. Do not have your name shown on your entry. Keep dimensions a reasonable size please!
• Writing: Can be anything from a poem to a short story. A maximum limit of 1000 words please!





Rules for Voting:
• You can vote for a maximum of three entries per category via posting in this thread!
• Please vote for whichever entry you think is best, not because of friendship!
• If you have entered this contest, please refrain from voting for yourself.
• Any votes from Alt accounts for yourself will not be counted!

Example:
Art: 2, 6, 8
GFX: 1, 3
Writing: 5




Rewards:
• There will be only one winner in each category.
• Each winner will receive 500 AL points and a Halloween themed badge!
• All participants will receive a CA&W badge for taking part, so everyone wins (woo)!

@Aeri Here's my draft! This is pretty much what I had in my head. The red parts in the thread are for you to edit to however you think is suitable, if you make the thread, please change them back to white!
Also for the rewards bit, I put two there for now cos I'm not entirely sure which one is best, feel free to remove either one! Not sure how to fit the poll in though, maybe vote for one in poll and then vote in thread? Feel free to add or remove rules too! I'm not sure if this is all okay hehe

Yayness! I like it.I hope Aeri gives approval for it.I can sticky it after it is posted officially.I just hope the AL points can actually be awarded to the winners.I know in the Daisy Chains game it was suppose to but never was.

Edited to add: @Nocchi you might have to edit the AL Points amount.Just read the Mod rules and it said that no more then 250 AL Points are allowed to be awarded to one person per month.

Thank you! I marked it in red for Aeri to adjust for me cos I didn't know what would be a good amount, I swear I've seen people get more than that because of Jeopardy? But maybe it was their own AL points giving away?

2) Awards: we can bend the rules here...You're right Nocchi for Jeopardy we gave away A LOT OF AP People won like 2000 points lmao.....Aeri breaks the rules ssshhhhh...and I'll do Daisy Chain AP once that gets unstickied

3) I'm debating the awards i'm thinking something like:
1st: 500 AP and badge (ghost? pumpkin?)
2nd: badge (same as 1st place badge but different color)
3rd: Badge (different color?)

or 1st: 500 AP and badge (halloween theme)
all participants get a plain "CA&W" logo badge

I'm hesitant to do a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place also just because of lack of activity we might only get that many entries in a category

2) Haha, yeah! I remember people were getting about 1000+ AL Points so I thought it was fine to offer about that much. 500 AL points seems a good amount!
3) Yeah, I was a bit worried about that too, I hope this contest doesn't flop

I just updated the rewards section, is that better suited? If you give the OK, I can post the thread myself on the 1st and have another mod to sticky it for me

Also can Staff join? I love doing Halloween stuff but I don't want it to seem unfair if I put a entry in..

@Catacombs I think if staff couldn't join, we wouldn't have any entries I planned on entering myself, it's anonymous anyways so no one will know who's whos!
I didn't plan on unveiling who did what unless they won
