The right side. I mean the starboard side. I mean if my bed was an aircraft, which obviously it isn't, with the pointy bit being headboard then I sleep on the starboard side. Why? Because it's away from the door which gives me a defensible position in case of a night time surpise attacke and a convenient escape route via the window.
