Kitty wandered in and asked, noting too the late hour, "Have I come to late for a cup of tea before you close?" She smiled hopefully as she walked up to the counter while giving Fate a friendly smile as well. "That bread looks delicious," She remarked nodding at Fate's purchase. "No wonder all of my friends have been talking about this shop!"
"No, we are still open for little while longer and I still have some bread, but it's almost all sold out for the day. I cup a hot tea is coming right up." Mile turns to the hot kettle on the stove and pours a cup. Then she placed a fresh bag of tea in the hot water brew. She then served it.
"Just take out the bag once the brew is to your liking," she bows, "thank you for coming and I hope you enjoy your tea."
Kitty took the tea and purred softly as she smelled the rich aroma.
"Thank you very much," She said as she put down her payment. "Has this shop been here long, I don't think I've seen it before?"
She looked around curiously as she carefully stirred her tea.
"No I haven't had the shop open here for long. I'm glad you are enjoying your tea."
Mile bows again as a thank you.
Smiles at that as she took a careful sip of the tea and sighed softly in contentment.
"This is very good, thank you," She said in delight at the flavor. "Have you had much business since you arrived?"
She continued curiously looking about the shop some more.
"The locals here are very fond of good food and drink I'm sure that they'll be very pleased to visit here once they know of it."
Mile nods happy with Kitty's compliment and mostly she is enjoying food and drink. Mile then replied to her inquiry.
"Oh, yes, I have but it has slowed down. Hopefully tomorrow it'll pick up again."
Looked thoughtful at that and tilted her head slightly to one side.
"I hadn't past any other bakeries that I can recall here," She said thoughtfully. "There isn't anything going on locally that might be keeping people a bit... cautious?" She asked as she glanced out the window.
The area didn't look like the type where trouble might be brewing, she hadn't felt any sense of danger as she traveled here, but much could lie concealed beneath clean bright exteriors and cheery store fronts. She hoped it was something rather more mundane that might be keeping the locals from frequenting the shop as much as might be expected with a single bakery. She turned her head back towards the shop-keep a look of curiousness in her expression.
Mile smiles cheerfully.
“First days are always slow. I’m sure as word gets out about my shop more and more will come. I’ll be so busy I’ll have to hire an apprentice. Actually I should hire one soon, so I’ll be ready.”
Kitty looked curious at that.
"What exactly would one do to help out?" She asked curiously. "It seems like a fine idea, no doubt the shop will get quite busy from word of mouth and so on as you say."
She smiled at that happily.
