And so another season begins! This series is the 10th anniversary of the show so they have now included 13 bakers, meaning there will be a double elimination at some point

I felt like the wrong person went home today. I really liked man bun dude already so was a bit sad I think the young guy should have gone, but he is very sweet and funny so I'm not complaining about seeing more of what he will bring. There's actually quite a few I like already! Will be interesting to see how this series pans out

I am officially upto date with regards to bake off before tonight's edition, which means I can say I have so far been impressed by the showstoppers this year, which makes a change to all of the poor attempts last year, particularly in comparison.

Although bread week was in my opinion average

I think scoring as a showstopping was always going to lead to a bit of an average showing compared to previous bread showstoppers. Still a lot of them made me very hungry for bread so it worked for me
