All this beautiful writing. I LOVE THIS THREAD!!!!!
@Ehryn Wait, was I just called sugar cubes????
Just "the Doctor," always "the Doctor." The Doctor is a legend woven throughout history. When disaster comes, he's there. He brings a storm in his wake and he has one constant companion: death.
GENERATION 15: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.
I call most people sugar cube at one point or another now, you haven't written me anything in days! sad Ryn is sad
[Thank you Anni for the awesome sig&ava! <3]

@Ehryn Can you update the list on the front page when you get the chance? I almost posted two poems under the same theme. Thanks sister!!
This poem is once again based on a incident that happened.
@Drnogoodnik You should try a few of the unclaimed themes and try at it.
97 Safety First:
The power went out and all was still,
We kept quiet like it was a drill.
Explosions like gunfire had us investigate,
All of us doing our best to cooperate.
Reaching the front door we saw flashes of dread,
What we saw surprised us was flames all in red.
Going out back there was no where to go,
Back and forth through the house moving to and fro.
Then bounding on through we went through the door,
Not wanting to stay and get trapped even more.
The last one to dance right out of that house,
The neighborhood was quiet just like a mouse.
Back in Habit
mind if i take 80. Words and 99. Solitude?
Hello! I've been hovering in this forum since I joined and was drawn to this topic in particular.
Can I have 86 - Seeing red please @Ehryn ?
As a 40k player and fan fiction writer, I have just the subject matter in mind!
I dare say I'll have a go at a few others in the fullness of time (Rainbow is one I'd like to have a go at as I collect the Rainbow Warriors Chapter - see above and Avatar ^_^ )
Is there a word limit? As I tend to go into rather large stories when I'm of a mind to it (one story I'm working on elsewhere is over 48k words and I'm only on Chapter two!
Edit: Have finished the piece (around 700-800 words), just waiting for an official go ahead ^_^

@Lilblossomcub - I update the first post after every submission so they should all be right. Let me know which one's not updated and I'll make sure to sort that out for you sister <3 That said, you can post as many pieces as you like for the themes you've selected, if you want to
@Drnogoodnik - Of course you may! I'll update the OP now.
@Aquilanus - Well novel-length is... probably a little overkill But yes, 7-800 words is a good length You certainly may have that theme and I'll update the OP accordingly
Words are like the ripples in a pond,
Once said they are likely to go beyond,
You cannot take back what is said,
They carry on until they are widespread,
They are the ultimate form of expression,
Once banned they are the basis of repression,
They are linked to the feeling of emotion,
Happy, sad, hate, and love they are sure to stir up a commotion,
They bring the best of news from love to success,
But they are also likely to bring the worst that depress,
Starting the enlightenment and revolutions,
They topple governments and cause executions,
So you must be careful of what you say,
Don't let the original meaning stray,
Don't use my words as a citation,
In the end it is up to your interpretation.
sorry, my internet has been on/off, I will definitely get something up soon.
@Ehryn I did 36 Precious Treasure and 44 Two Roads.
@Drnogoodnik Glad to see you expanding on your poetry and post in here. I really liked 'words' I was fully able to grasp the meaning and understand it. I cant wait to see what other themes you have typed up! =^__^=~
There was a time I went without food
I was bone tired but my stomach was in knots
Still I made sire the elders had food while I may not
Moving was tough buts one aspect of life
I hope not to do it anytime soon less it eat from inside
Not the best way to live but at times cant be helped.
I have eyes like any asian that much I can tell you
There dark brown and slanted nothing special or out of the ordinary
Still you saw something in them and just couldn't stop staring
You said they were beautiful and it was hard to take in
Positive endearments are highly uncommon
To me seeing ones eyes is the door to your inner self
That child, that dream, that asshole in some unfortunate doubts
The soul deep inside of us reflects itself in our eyes
How we see it and gaze upon it is something different for someone to idealize
Don't take them for granted the pair that you have
For there are those who don't have them or just only half.
Theme #98 – Puzzle
She always didn't quite fit,
That girl from the home.
She seemed distant,
She never talked much,
Yet did well in school.
She had no friends,
Yet no enemies either.
If one looked closely,
You would see,
She thinks the world hates her.
She was alone,
And she still is.
She will always be,
@Ehryn - Disclaimer. This story is set within the Warhammer 40,000 (40K) "Universe", so I'd completely understand if many scratch their heads at it I've included urls to some of the words/terms there in, to (hopefully) explain them, just in case. ^_^
86 - Seeing red
The world was already devastated, had been before he had set a single foot upon it. The Cultists had done an adequate job of turning a once beautiful planet to a ruin. Nothing of the fauna and flora survived, and one could even say that those who strove to protect what was left were a shadow of their former selves. The Imperial Guard regiments sent to drive out the insurgents were bitter veterans of many wars, but even they baulked at the sheer carnage that met their gaze as they left the transports to establish themselves at the beachhead.
Commander Botch of the Imperial Guard regiment "Blether's immortals" had served for over fifty years standard. Despite many augmetic replacements, he was finding it more and more difficult to be able to be at the fore front of the fighting. A Commander should be seen to lead, and despite his best efforts had spent more time in the Wardroom. His eyes narrowed as he looked in the distance. Beyond the barricades and no-man's land, he could see some activity. The traitors had been busy of late, their shuffling gait indicative of those touched by the Warp. Taking out his magnoculars, he made a brief benediction to its machine spirit and tried to see what they were up to. There was a lot of dust, the last barrage of fire from his heavy support had blasted a tainted squad of Leman Russ battle tanks to atoms. Having tried his best to see anything, he gave up.
The traitors would show their cards soon enough.
A report he had seen earlier made him very uneasy. A ship had somehow managed to breach the orbital barricade and crash land a few miles from here. Scouting parties were sent out to investigate, and never returned. His adjutant called him over. A young man, compared to him at least, the man had a scar that had taken his sight, his eyes replaced with bulky augmetics. His left arm was also a replacement, and was able to access certain cogitators directly rather than have to use them manually.
"Commander, we just received a brief communication from one of the scouting parties. Barely able to get any info from it. It was a warning."
Botch stared at the man, making him uncomfortable. Continuing, he said simply "The message states "We are undone! From what I can see, all I can see is red! I'm seeing red...
"Message ends after that."
Botch snorted. "It would seem that the scouts were killed before they could report anything of worth. 'Seeing red'?! What the Frell does that mean?!"
Hours turn to days at a painful pace. The waiting was the worst. Knowing the enemy was close, but did nothing. The Commissars, however were kept busy. Battle discipline had to be maintained, after all...
Then the waiting stopped. The dust had cleared and in the gloom shapes could be made out. The darkness obscured details, but the site made Botch's heart leap into his throat. Large shapes, that loomed over the traitors who whooped with joy or screamed blood curdling oaths to their dark gods.
Chaos Space Marines. Eight of them. One Guardsmen who didn't know any better, snorted, shouting his defiance. He was silenced as a Bolter round pulped his skull.
The armoured behemoths were suddenly bathed in light as the bastion's automated array targeted them. The armour was covered in the blood of countless victims, many had trophies adorning their person. Adorning their shoulder guards, a vile symbol, a world caught in horrifying jaws was visible. Commander Botch fell to his knees, terror gripping his soul in its icy grip, his bladder and bowels unable to contain themselves.
The World Eaters.
Getting a grip of himself took a supreme effort, but somehow he managed it. Tearing the vox receiver from his adjutants grasp, he set the device to full broadcast.
"To all units! Prepare to resist the enemy...!" the enormity of those words hit him, and with the last shred of his sanity fading away, he continued.
"Red! Seeing red! An endless tide, of red!"
Commander Botch was still uttering those words when the lead Traitor Marine ripped him to pieces with his bare hands.
The skull taken was one more for Khorne, and one too few to satisfy the Blood God.
Ye-owch! My bad Cub! I totally missed those D: I've updated the OP now and it should be completely up to date but if I missed anything just throw stuff at me till it's fixed X3 <3 Sorry about that!
I'll read through everyone's work soon okay? <3
@Ioreth I only just spotted your request for Grey and Magic - I added you to the OP! Sorry about that @_@
Lol I figured it had escaped your radar. I posted it, then came a new page. Anywho, I'll try and have them up asap.
