@Detective V Well we're happy to see you back Whatcha been up to?
@water_spirit14 @Ehryn well how about we try hosting one with the three of us? We could take turns so nobody's always the one in charge so maybe that would keep it from turning in a chore, since I guess we all know even nice things might turn into when you get no break from them? If you girls don't mind I'd love to start tackling some classics in the book club as well - I used to run a book club back in the day where we only did classics from different genres, but that got a bit boring, so maybe we could try to do a couple of books a year?
And spam thread's an awesome place to spam.
Thank your Jouro <3
Carue: I think Noirres a bit of a legend
Noirre (Mod): In what way, pray tell?
Carue: well you're a rather good writer, pleasant, friendly and good looking
Noirre (Mod): <3 you silver-tongued devil
Shadicara: Silver? Carue can I have your tongue?
Carue: if you like
Carue: its licked Noirre's bum just now
Carue: but you can have it
Yep, that sounds like a great idea! I think one book a month was just too much, people don't have the money to buy that often and it's not enough time for some people to read a whole book either so just a few a year sounds better <3
[Thank you Anni for the awesome sig&ava! <3]

Yea sounds great to me I agree once a month is too often. Maybe trial it on 2/3/4 months per book? We'll soon know from feedback how everyone is getting on. Classics sound great to me :3 maybe we can do alternate? One classic then one modern to keep it interesting :3 maybe a request thread with the sign ups to have club members put forward there choices and a poll to pick the new book each time could work?

I think we should start by tackling one book in two months, and maybe if we take some extra long or hard-to-read book, then we can give it longer? Getting through some Dostojevski's might require a bit of extra time for example... Maybe we should unearthed the old topic with all the book suggestion and go from there?
Oh and @water_spirit14 would you like to be added as an assistant here in L&W then? We could plan more in the Editors Corner :3
Sounds good to me :3 we shall adapt depending on the book :3 yea using the old suggestions sounds like a good place to start we could pm all the old members to notify them of the revival im so excited
I'm up for being an assistant :3 I'll try my hardest to remain active for the book club at minimum but I'm pretty busy with EZ and if real life work gets tough I'll let you know
I think 2-3 months is a good amount of time, particularly for a very long book. Might I suggest something relatively short for the first one, to give people chance to get into the swing of how the book club would work?
@RhapsodyInBlue I think that's a good idea, I was thinking the same thing.
That's cool, Noirre. What sort of things were you considering reading?
Well I think we'll vote in that, but I would like to basically take advantage of people here to get through atleast one Dostojevski but I think it would be good to take all sorts of books. People would get out of their confort zones and maybe find new sort of literary loves.
Yea completely agree! I haven't been in a book club since college but it's a great way to sample books you wouldn't normally pick. Other Ppl can introduce you to right gems :3 I'll start compiling a list of the previous suggests from the old thread this afternoon :3
@Noirre I just drifted away to my own writing hole after the monthly creative writing challenges and things faded out. But wow things have certainly gotten intellectual around here. Feeling a tad embarrassed surrounded by my light novels and visual novels.
@Detective V is that your way of saying you miss WoM's? And what do you mean by intellectual? o.o
Got that satisfied but slightly melancholic feeling you get when you finish a book that you didn't want to end. The last chapter left so many things up in the air... one more chapter to wrap things up would have been wonderful! But I think I understand why the author made her decision. Still...
Ohh I know the feeling! I tend to start putting off reading when I notice I'm closing in on the end of a good book... Unless it's so good I can't put it down, of course. It's kinda like saying good buy to good friends when you finish reading a book you enjoy.
I hear ya buddy. And the ending to this book ("No Talking After Lights" by Angela Lambert) was deliberately inconclusive, too. -_-
